About the Chapter

htcia_midatlantic_logo168x144The High Technology Crime Investigation Association (HTCIA) is designed to encourage, promote, aid and effect the voluntary interchange of data, information, experience, ideas and knowledge, about methods, processes, and techniques relating to investigation and security in advanced technologies among its membership.

By becoming a member of the HTCIA you will affiliate yourself with a professional organization which will help you fully understand and address issues associated with investigations, apprehensions and methodologies associated with the newest breed of high tech criminals. With the explosion in use of computers and the Internet, there is an uprising in criminal activities that utilize these powerful tools. From computer viruses to data processing fraud, there are many growing threats that expose our society to a new kind of criminal activity.  The HTCIA, Mid-Atlantic Chapter covers the Virginia, Maryland and DC area.
